CHAPEL - "We've Got Soul": Neuer Song

GLEN HANSARD - "Are You Getting Through": Neuer Film-Soundtrack

Hear Hansard's New Single, 'Are You Getting Through', a track that plays over the closing credits to The Journey, a forthcoming dramatic comedy about an unlikely peace agreement forged in Northern Ireland between two former enemies: politician and religious leader Ian Paisley and Sinn Féin leader Martin McGuinness. (Speaking of awards pedigrees, the rest of The Journey's music is by Stephen Warbeck, who wrote the Oscar-winning score for Shakespeare In Love.)

"When I was asked to contribute [to the film], I felt very strongly about approaching it on a human level," Hansard writes via email. "It's such a huge political and religious divide. The script was great. For the film, I wanted to pull the song into a place that suited my impression of Paisley as a community elder and McGuinness' empathy — the humanity of what they were undertaking."

"Are You Getting Through" is available now via IM Global. The Journey begins rolling out in theaters on June 16.

GIRLPOOL - "Powerplant": Neues Musikvideo / Tour im Herbst / Album im Mai auf ANTI-!

Today, Girlpool have released a video for "Powerplant," the title track from the long-awaited follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed debut. NPR, who premiered the video today as a First Watch, are saying it's "delightfully comical, while video director, Philip Steiger says the "music video is a meta-narrative nightmare exploring the power dynamics and manipulation behind an insincere candidness."

Powerplant is available for pre-order now and out via ANTI- Records on May 12th.

The band has also announced a full European tour in September.

JAPANDROIDS - Live bei "Later… with Jools Holland"

Watch the amazing performance of "Near To The Wild Heart of Life" that Japandroids did live on Later.. With Jools Holland last night:

The band is releasing a 7” featuring “North East South West” as the A-Side and a cover of Dead Moon’s “Fire In The Western World” as the B-Side. The disc is available since May 8th through the band’s web store and on the forthcoming tour. A digital version of the 7” will launch on all streaming services and DSPs on May 16th .

Like their previous albums Post-Nothing and Celebration Rock, Near To The Wild Heart Of Life contains 8 songs. This is because 8 songs is the standard template for a great rock n roll album: Raw Power by The Stooges, Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen, Marquee Moon by Television, IV by Led Zeppelin, Horses by Patti Smith, Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Remain In Light by Talking Heads, Master Of Puppets by Metallica, etc.

KAVKASIA -  Album erscheint am 30.06.2017, erste Videos online

Kavkasia (30.06.

Folgende Tracks geben einen guten Einblick: THE OTHER SIDE OF DAWN HIDDEN IN CLOUDS

Kurzinfo:KAVKASIA was born from a four-wheel drive trip Minco and his wife took into Georgia (‘KAVKASIA’ is Georgian for ‘Caucasus’). It reflects the search for beauty, fortitude and rest, that took Minco deep into the Caucasian mountains. The rugged, broken landscape, in which each sound and every impression pervades one’s very pores, landed him a mixture of humility and comfort.

OBEY THE BRAVE - "Drama": Neues Musikvideo / "Mad Season" am 02. Juni auf Epitaph!

Obey The Brave has shared a new video today for “Drama”. The song is off the band’s third full-length Mad Season out June 2 on Epitaph.

Front man Alex Erian explains "Sonically and visually, this new song and video mark a new turn in our career.  We stepped out of our comfort zone and drove ourselves to new limits, trying out different ideas while maintaining the heaviness and energy from our Young Blood days. As soon as I heard that riff, all I could hear in my head was Steve's voice over and over again.  He and I have been writing and performing together in Despised Icon for 15 years.  That chemistry definitely shines on this single!"

Watch the video for Obey The Brave’s “Drama” now:

The follow-up to 2014’s Salvation, Mad Season came to life during an especially tumultuous period for Obey The Brave (vocalist Alex Erian, guitarists John Campbell and Terrence McAuley, bassist Cory Wilson, and drummer Stevie Morotti). But after a lineup change and a series of false starts in the studio, the band emerged with their most ambitious yet viscerally potent album so far.

Co-produced by McAuley—who worked alongside engineer/mixer Dean Hadjichristou (Protest The Hero, Parkway Drive)—Mad Season also proves to be Obey The Brave’s most stylistically diverse work to date. In addition to featuring a collaboration with French Canadian rap group Loud Lary Ajust (on the beat-heavy “RIP”), Mad Season finds Erian expanding his vocal approach and introducing a singing style inspired by old-school punk.

Band: Oceano

Album: Revelation

VÖ: 19.05.2017

Label/Vertrieb: Sumerian Records / ADA Global / warner

It sounds like the plot of a big budget summer blockbuster or an open-world video game.

A faceless entity travels through time and bears witness to man’s effect on the Earth as celestial and eternal beings known as “The Ascendants” ponder whether or not to save the planet. This story powers Oceano’s fourth full-length album and first for Sumerian Records, Revelation. Picking up where 2015’s critically acclaimed Ascendants left off, the Illinois band—Adam Warren [lead vocals], Scott Smith [lead guitar], Chris Wagner [bass], and Andrew Holzbaur [drums]—expand their patented deathcore punch with intriguing atmospherics and a thought-provoking narrative that’s as deep as it is dark.

Band: Slaughter To Prevail

Album: Misery Sermon

VÖ: 05.05.2017

Label/Vertrieb: Sumerian Records / Ada Global / Warner

Sonic brutality knows no borders. It’s ultimately a unifying force around the globe.

In 2014, UK-based guitarist Jack Simmons linked up with Russian vocalist Alex Shikolai and drummer Anton Poddyachy, bridging a physical distance of 3,602 miles (5,797 km) and forming Slaughter To Prevail in the process. With a chaotic hybrid of modern extreme, death, and black metal punctuated by shuddering grooves, the trio’s 2016 Chapters of Misery EP yielded bruisers such as “Hell,” which racked up over 517K Spotify streams and 1.6 million YouTube views as they destroyed stages across Europe with Hatebreed, Ingested, and more. Signed to Sumerian Records, 2017’s full-length debut Misery Sermon properly introduces the group with an atomic bang ignited by piercing vocals in English and Russian, a barrage of guitar assault and battery, and percussive warfare.
