Die hochgelobte Musikerin HELENA DELAND aus Montreal, Kanada veröffentlicht den Titeltrack aus ihrem lang erwarteten Debütalbum "Someone New", das am 16. Oktober auf Luminelle Recordings erscheinen wird.

"'Someone New' is about the validation and relief from one’s internal world that a romantic encounter can offer, but also about becoming aware that there seems to be an expiry date on that type of opportunity for women. It ambivalently celebrates and condemns the idea of being in oness 'prime', as it is so rare that youth and self-understanding are simultaneous", kommentiert die Musikerin.
Nach der EP-Serie "Altogether Unaccompanied“ (die mehrere Millionen Male gestreamt wurde) aus dem Jahr 2018, folgten u.a. Shows/Tourneen mit u.a. Weyes Blood und Iggy Pop, sowie eine Kollaboration mit JPEGMAFIA.
Erst im letzten Monat präsentierte Deland mit „Lylz“ (Video) einen ersten Album-Song, der international tolles Feedback erhielt:
