THE ACES – veröffentlichen neuen Song “Lost Angeles“
THE ACES veröffentlichen mit "Lost Angeles" einen brandneuen Song über Red Bull Records/Sony:
Die Band aus Utah kommentiert:
"‘Lost Angeles’ is about the dark sides of LA, and that experience of being infatuated by Hollywood and a new city, but then having the excitement and romance of it ripped away at the hands of heartbreak."
Bereits letzen Monat präsentierte das Quartett die Single “Daydream", das passende Video gibt es hier zu sehen:

Regie führte die Schlagzeugerin Alisa Ramirez, die den Clip wie folgt kommentiert:
“This video was so fun to make and easily a new favorite. Over the years our band has always been described or referred to as a “girl gang”, so we decided to bring that to life in a fun, action packed, classic Hollywood kinda way. When we listen to ‘Daydream’ it makes us think about the best parts of being young, wild, and free. The same feeling we got when pretending to be outlaws for a day in this video.”
THE ACES sind die Geschwister Cristal (vocals/guitar) and Alisa Ramirez (Drums), sowie ihre Jugendfreundinnen McKenna Petty (Bass) und Katie Henderson (Lead guitar).
Die Band aus Utah hat seit Ihrem Debüt "When My Heart Felt Volcanic“ (2018) beindruckende Erfolge einfahren können:

DANCE GAVIN DANCE – Neuer Song + Timelapse-Video “Lyrics Lie“ / Album “Afterburner“ am 24.04. auf Rise Records
DANCE GAVIN DANCE präsentieren mit "Lyrics Lie" einen brandneuen Song. Passend dazu veröffentlicht die Band ein Timelapse-Video, in dem ein Gebäude in deren Heimatstadt Sacramento mit dem Artwork von "Afterburner" verziert wird. Das Album erscheint am 24. April auf Rise Records.
Zuvor erschienen bereits die Tracks "Prisoner" (Video) und "Strawberry’s Wake" (Video). Produziert wurde das neue Studioalbum von Kris Crummett (ISSUES, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS, MAYDAY PARADE) und Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (LIL WAYNE, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, BAD WOLVES). Der Vorgänger "Artificial Selection" aus dem Jahr 2018 erreichte den 13. Platz der US-Billboard-Charts. In ihrer gesamten Historie kommt die Band bereits auf über 650 Millionen Streams und verkaufte über 868.000 Einheiten.

DAYS N DAZE – Neuer Song "LibriYUM" / Album "Show Me The Blueprints" am 01.05. auf Fat Wreck
Die Folk-Punks DAYS N DAZE verkündeten vor Kurzem die Zusammenarbeit mit Fat Wreck. Gleichzeitig teilte die Band mit "My Darling Dopamine" einen ersten Vorgeschmack aus dem Studioalbum "Show Me The Blueprints", das am 1. Mai erscheinen wird. Nun folgt mit "LibriYUM" ein weiterer Song, der die Vorfreude steigen lässt:

DUNE RATS – präsentieren Videoclip zu “Bad Habits“
DUNE RATS veröffentlichen ein Musikvideo zu dem Song "Bad Habits". Das Bildmaterial entstand während der kürzlich absolvierten, bis dato größten Headline-Tour der Band durch ihre australische Heimat. Den unterhaltsamen Clip gibt es hier zu sehen:
Sänger und Gitarrist Danny Beus sagt folgendes dazu:
“We always pictured Bad Habits would be a live clip, even when recording it we’d joke about how big the chorus feels and fun it would be to play it live. So we all feel really lucky we were able to go out on tour a few weeks back and film it while having an awesome time playing to epic crowds .”
Der Song entstammt aus dem Album "Hurry Up And Wait", das im Januar auf dem bandeigenen Label Ratbag Records in Kooperation mit BMG erschien. Ebenfalls auf dem Studioalbum enthalten sind die Tracks "Stupid Is As Stupid Does (feat. K. Flay)" , "Crazy" und "No Plans" . "Hurry Up And Wait" wurde von James Tidswell, Mitglied von VIOLENT SOHO, produziert und erreichte mit dem energievollen Mix aus Garage und 90s Skate-Punk u.a. den ersten Platz der ARIA-Charts.

ANDY FRASCO & THE U.N. – Live-Podcast / Album “Keep On Keepin‘ On“ am 24.04. auf SideOneDummy
ANDY FRASCO setzt seinen Podcast “Andy Frasco’s World Saving Shitshow“ weiter fort. Zu Gast sind in dieser Woche Keller Williams, Vince Herman und Hunter Cope. Der Podcast ist neben Interviews mit Live-Musik und Tanz-Parties im Stil der 80s gefüllt. Der Podcast ist über die Facebook-Seite des Künstlers verfügbar.
Kürzlich präsentierten ANDY FRASCO & THE U.N. mit “None Of Those Things" einen weiteren neuen Song:
Dieser stammt aus dem neuen Studioalbum "Keep On Keepin’ On“, das am 24. April auf SideOneDummy erscheinen wird.
Auf "Keep On Keepin’ On" zeigt der sympathische Frontmann ANDY FRASCO die gesamte Bandbreite seines Könnens von Rock 'n’ Roll, über kraftvollen Pop und Folk bis zu Americana oder wie FRASCO es selbst ausdrückt: " Keep On Keepin' On lands somewhere between an emotionally raw therapy session and a rowdy house party."
Im Rahmen eines unterhaltsamen offiziellen Trailers erläutert der Amerikaner weitere Hintergründe des Albums.

JESSE MALIN – Live-Stream-Event / Tour mit BRIAN FALLON auf 2021 verschoben
Der Singer-Songwriter JESSE MALIN setzt am Samstag, den 11. April, sein Live-Stream-Event unter dem Namen “The Fine Art of Self Distancing“ gegen 21 Uhr auf YouTube fort. Dabei wird der New Yorker Songs performen und einige Anekdoten dazu zum Besten geben.
Malin kommentiert:
“I’ll be playing songs, telling stories, doing bits and motivational backflips. It’s free, but with an option for donations that will help band, the road crew and me get through this crazy time of tour cancellations and postponements. Look at the what the Italians are doing. Sing from your window, your fire escape, your balcony, or your roof. Even from afar, the power of love is stronger than you think. Use this time to reflect on what really matters most. A slower tempo can help you feel the real deal inside. Be brave, open, and stay smart. Keep a positive mental attitude and we will back together before you know it.“

SOLID BRONZE – Neues Musikvideo
Das US-Psychodelic-Dub-Funk-Duo SOLID BRONZE präsentiert ein Video zu dem Song ?Hard To Keep The Faith“:

Der Song ist auf dem Album “The Fruit Basket“ vertreten, das letzten September via Schnitzel Records erschien.
SOLID BRONZE sind Ian Everett (Bass, Gitarren und Lead-Vocals) und George Miller (Schlagzeug und Percussion), die mit Hilfe der Produzenten DEAN WEEN (Ween) und Chris Herford und verschiedenen Musikern wie u.a. Michael “Kidd Funkadelic” Hampton (Parliament, Funkadelic), Saxophonist Dana Colley (Morphine) ein modernes funkig jazziges Soul Album aufgenommen haben.
Den letzten Schliff im Mastering erhielten die Songs von TOM RUFF (James Brown, Lester Young, Screaming Females etc.).
Für Fans von Curtis Mayfield, Sly Stone, Herbie Hancock oder Miles Davis nur zu empfehlen.

STAKE – teilen Video zu “Devolution“
STAKE veröffentlichen ein neues Video zu dem Song "Devolution", der dem Album "Critical Method" entstammt, das letzten November auf Hassle Records erschien. Sänger und Gitarrist Brent Vanneste nutze die aktuelle Zeit der sozialen Isolation und schnitt den Clip aus frei zugänglichem, öffentlichem Material zusammen:
Vanneste kommentiert die Hintergründe:
"We were not planning to release this single at this time, but everything about it is so scarily fitting to the state of the world we are currently living in, and once we started to think about it, and about the video, it all just made a lot of sense to us. With a lack of opportunities to make a video outside the comfort of our homes, due to quarantine, we used free public domain footage. To then further enforce the DIY nature of this video, the export function in iMovie wasn't working so we had to film the screen!"

Die Punk-Institution THE SUICIDE MACHINES meldete sich kürzlich nach 15 Jahren mit dem Album "Revolution Spring" zurück, das Ende des letzten Monats via Fat Wreck erschien. Nun präsentiert die Band einen Videoclip zu dem Track "To Play Caesar (Is to Be Stabbed to Death)":

Sänger Jason Navarro kommentiert:
"To play Caesar is about the holier than thou elitist types who show up in the scene or life and point their fingers at everyone else. They drop in, run their mouths, then more often times than not, end up becoming exactly what they are pointing their fingers at. They’re not truly interested in solutions. Their goal is to play the martyr. We shot the video for Caesar at a DIY space here in Detroit that we like to keep hidden from the world. It was a benefit show for the Food Not Class collective."
Die Aufnahmen des neuen Albums fanden in nur zwölf Tagen mit LESS THAN JAKEs Roger Lima, der die Produktion leitete, statt. Entstanden sind 30 Songs, von denen es ganze 16 auf "Revolution Spring" schafften.
