DANCE GAVIN DANCE präsentieren heute mit "Afterburner“ ihren neuen Longplayer via Rise Records .
Produziert wurde das Album von Kris Crummett (ISSUES, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS, MAYDAY PARADE) und Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (LIL WAYNE, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, BAD WOLVES). Der Vorgänger "Artificial Selection" aus dem Jahr 2018 erreichte den 13. Platz der US-Billboard-Charts. In ihrer gesamten Historie kommt die Band bereits auf über 650 Millionen Streams und verkaufte über 868.000 Einheiten.

DERADOORIAN – Neuer Song + Video "Monk's Robes" / Album-Release "Find The Sun" auf 18.09. verschoben
Das US-Label ANTI- gab mit ANGEL DERADOORIAN jüngst ein neues Signing bekannt. Das neue Album der Musikerin mit dem Titel "Find The Sun" sollte ursprünglich am 22. Mai erscheinen, wird aufgrund des Coronavirus nun auf den 18. September verschoben. Zur Entschädigung präsentiert die Amerikanerin mit "Monk’s Robes" einen weiteren Vorgeschmack samt Videoclip:
"'Monk’s Robes' follows a monk who journeys to a mountain top in hopes of being one with God. When he arrives, his God turns his worldview on its head, exposing his ignorance as he questions his understanding of the world and his desires to be free. All the more prescient in today’s circumstances, it is a song about accepting the futility of attempting to escape your reality, finding peace in acceptance and working with what you have to make something beautiful. I’ve heard so many people say ‘I want to escape to the mountain and live alone because life is so fucking painful sometimes,’” erläutert DERADOORIAN. “And that's not really the way to do it either. You need to be isolated, you need to learn about yourself, but you can't really stay there. You also need to integrate. You need to do both.”
Zuvor erschien mit "Saturnine Night" (Video) ein weiterer Track aus "Find The Sun."
Die insgesamt zehn Songs des Albums entstanden während eines Sommers am Strand der Rockaways und fanden dort ein erstes Profil. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Freund und Percussionist Samer Ghadry und mit dessen Kollegen Dave Harrington reiste DERADOORIAN durch das gesamte Land nach Kalifornien, um die Tracks in einem analogen Studio einzuspielen.
"Find The Sun" ist ein Ausdruck des nichtlinearen Wesens der Zeit und weist darauf hin, dass es nie eine aktuelle Version des Ichs gibt. Vielmehr dient das Album dazu, dass der Hörer in der Lage sein soll, an den Ort, an dem Körper und Seele verschmelzen, zurückzukehren.

THE GHOST INSIDE – verkünden neues Album am 05.06. auf Epitaph / Neuer Song "Aftermath"
THE GHOST INSIDE veröffentlichen am 5. Juni via Epitaph ihr neues Studioalbum!
Der selbstbetitelte Longplayer ist das erste Album seit dem tragischen Busunfall. Bei dem Unfall im Jahr 2015 ließen mehrere Menschen, u.a. der Fahrer der Band, ihr Leben. Die Bandmitglieder selbst erlitten zahlreiche Verletzungen. Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk musste ein Bein amputiert werden, Gitarrist Zach Johnson musste sich allein 13 OPs seit dem Crash unterziehen und Sänger Jonathan Vigil litt unter einem Bruch des Rückens sowie zwei gebrochenen Knöcheln. Trotz der körperlichen und seelischen Schäden verlor die Band ihre Lebensenergie nicht, erholte sich gemeinsam von diesem erdrückenden Schicksal und präsentiert nun mit "Aftermath“ einen brandneuen Song!

Bassist Jim Riley kommentiert:
“We went into the writing process knowing full well that every song and every lyric would be influenced by what we’ve been through, but we tried our best for them to be relatable to everyone. With Aftermath we let it be much more personal - this one is us telling OUR story. So when it was time to choose a first song to share with the world, it felt right for it to be Aftermath. It allows anyone that listens into our world, but it also lets us put final punctuation on that chapter of our lives. Aftermath is a total catharsis for us. We let it all out in the song so that it’s not bottled up inside us anymore and we can heal and move on, since after all, the beat goes on.”
Aufgenommen wurden die Songs zusammen mit dem Produzenten Will Putney (Every Time I Die, The Amity Affliction, Knocked Loose) und dem langjährigen Freund der Band Jeremy McKinnon von A Day To Remember.
THE GHOST INSIDE gründeten sich 2004 in El Segundo, Kalifornien und veröffentlichten seither mit "Fury and the Fallen Ones" (2008), "Returners" (2010), "Get What You Give" (2012) und "Dear Youth" (2014) vier Studioalben. Letzteres belegte u.a. den 63. Platz der US-Billboard-Charts.

THE HOMELESS GOSPEL CHOIR veröffentlicht heute sein neues Album "This Land Is Your Landfill" via Hassle Records. Passend dazu liegt liegt ein unterhaltsamer Videoclip zu dem Song “Don’t Compare“ vor:
Unter dem Synonym THE HOMELESS GOSPEL CHOIR verbirgt sich der Singer-Songwriter Derek Zanetti, der aus Philadelphia stammt, seit 2009 als Solo-Künstler unterwegs ist und bereits zahlreiche Konzerte und Touren auf dem gesamten Globus absolvierte. "This Land Is Your Landfill" markiert einen Wendepunkt in der musikalischen Entwicklung, denn der Amerikaner wird nun erstmals von einer Band begleitet. Zanetti kommentiert:
"It only made sense to me to release the record as planned. In a time where people are cooped up inside of their homes and in desperate need of something new. I hope this record meet you just in a place where you need it."
Die Produktion des neuen Albums leitete Chris #2, Bassist und Sänger der Polit-Band ANTI-FLAG, die Zanetti erst kürzlich auf deren EU-Dates begleitete.

Die Pop-Punk-Band KNUCKLE PUCK kündigt mit "20/20" ein neues Album via Rise Records an! Zeitgleich legt das Quartett mit "RSVP" einen brandneuen Song samt Lyric-Video vor:

“We’re excited for you to listen to a brand new song today called 'RSVP', which is one of our favorites from our new album 20/20. We’re ready to talk a little bit about 20/20, our third album coming out later this year on Rise Records. Zuvor veröffentlichten die Amerikaner bereits den Track "Tune You Out" (Video). Die Aufnahmen zum Album leitete Seth Henderson (STATE CHAMPS, REAL FRIENDS), Vince Ratti (THE WONDER YEARS, TITLE FIGHT, THE MENZINGERS) übernahm den Mix.
"20/20" folgt auf die LPs "Shapeshifter" und "Copacetic" und erscheint dieses Jahr.

Die neuseeländische Soul / Rock N Roll / Country Queen TAMI NEILSON öffnet ihre Türen und lüftet die letzten Geheimnisse. Ever wanted to see how Tami does that beehive hairdo? Peek into her closet of custom made dresses?
Live from lockdown in the rolling hills of New Zealand, Tami invites us into her living room (and closet!) for a homemade helping of long-distance musical collaborations, never-before-seen footage of live shows on tour and answers to fans questions in segments like "Ask Tami" and "Tami's Closet".
After releasing her brand new album "CHICKABOOM!" to rave reviews in February, the dates for her world tour to promote the album began to unravel, a challenge many musicians are facing at this time. Tami says, "I wanted to create something special for my fans, for us to stay connected during this time and hopefully inject a bit of joy and distraction into their day. Living out in the country with a really wonky wifi connection, livestreams aren't a particularly good quality option for me, not to mention that I have two little boys underfoot at all times (shout out to the parents working from home!), so, I wanted to make something a little different to share with my online community of fans."
Each 15-20 min episode of The TAMI Show will premiere weekly on her YouTube channel, Thursdays 6pm EST (Fridays 10am NZT) where she will host a watch party and live chat with her fans during the live broadcast.

Im Januar wurde "Viva The Underdogs" in über 60 verschiedenen Kinos in Deutschland und Österreich exklusiv präsentiert. Die Doku bietet einen persönlichen Einblick in mehr als 15 Jahre Bandgeschichte. Zu sehen gibt es exklusives "behind the scene"-Material, Aufnahmen vom Tourleben und Auftritten auf den weltweit größten Festivals, diverse Interviews mit Wegbegleitern der Band und vieles mehr. Ende März erschien zudem der gleichnamige Soundtrack via Epitaph, der auf Platz 5 in die deutschen Album-Charts einstieg!

RED BULL RECORDS – Virtual Festival (feat. THE ACES, BEARTOOTH, FLAWES etc.) am 01.05.
Showcasing its expanding roster of innovative artists, independent label Red Bull Records has announced its first-ever Virtual Festival, airing Friday, May 1 exclusively on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch.
Highlighting a lineup of diverse and cutting-edge talent, the multi-genre livestreamed festival will feature intimate at-home performances from Red Bull Records artists, exclusive content, surprise guest appearances and more, entertaining fans across the globe while staying indoors.
Hosted by DJ and television/radio host Hannah Rad, Red Bull Records Virtual Festival will include sets from pop quartet The Aces, hardcore band Beartooth, rapper/producer Blxst, UK alt-pop trio Flawes , indie melodist Gavin Haley , hip-hop artists Kofi and pineappleCITI and singer-songwriter Sad Alex, with more to be announced.

ANDY SHAUF – Neue Single “You Slipped Away“
Der kanadische Singer-Songwriter ANDY SHAUF präsentiert seine neue Single “You Slipped Away” exklusiv auf Amazon Music:
“‘You Slipped Away’ was an early demo during The Neon Skyline sessions, but as the album storyline evolved, this song lost its place in the narrative,” erläutert SHAUF. “I’d forgotten about it until fairly recently, and realized it sort of worked on its own.”
"The Neon Skyline" ist der Nachfolger seines 2016 erschienenen Solo-Release “The Party“ von 2016 (u.a. mit dem Hit "The Magican" - Video - 4 Millionen Aufrufe / über 16 Millionen Spotify-Plays), das von Fans sowie Kritikern gleichermaßen gefeiert wurde. SHAUF, der für sein detailreiches Storytelling bekannt ist, führte die Aufnahmen und die Produktion des neuen Albums in eigener Regie.

THE USED – Album-VÖ “Heartwork“
THE USED teilen heute ihr neues Album "Heartwork“ (erstmals auf Hassle Records mit der Welt!
“Heartwork“ featured u.a. musikalische Gäste wie Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker (beide Blink-182) und Jason Aalon Butler (Fever 333).
Produziert wurde das Album von John Feldman (GOLDFINGER, GOOD CHARLOTTE etc.), über die Zusammenarbeit und den Sound der Platte hat McCracken folgendes zu sagen:
“The new album plays on the emotions, the sincerity, and the vulnerability of the first record and In Love and Death, with a little bit of the flair from Lies for the Liars. Standing in the streaming circle-pit with Kesha and Halsey, the album is just as modern sounding. John Feldmann’s production is THAT professional. It sounds really good! Those are two really random examples, but I think if you listen to both of those records, the songs are all over the place: dance, pop, actual punk rock riffs and drums. I think music is so all over the place right now that The Used fits in perfectly.”

WESTERN ADDICTION – Neuer Song "Lurchers" / Album "Frail Bray" am 15.05. auf Fat Wreck
Die Punk/HC-Band WESTERN ADDICTION teilt mit "Lurchers" einen brandneuen Song aus ihrem Album "Frail Bray", das am 15. Mai auf Fat Wreck veröffentlicht wird.
Sänger Jason Hall sagt folgendes dazu:
"This was the last song written for the record, and we were pleasantly surprised by the outcome. It's a straight-forward ripper with the structure of a classic country-western, 50s rock and roll song, and it even features some Moog. Darius from Swingin' Utters played tambourine because, surprisingly, that instrument is so damn hard to play correctly. I tried my best to interject melody throughout this record instead of barking like a lunatic all the time. The song is a manifesto for better living, the threat of hope, and aggressive positivity. I encourage everyone to be bold about making this world a better place."
Produziert wurde das Album erstmals von Jack Shirley (DEAFHEAVEN, JEFF ROSENSTOCK, GOUGE AWAY etc.) und als musikalische Gäste sind Darius Koski (SWINGIN’ UTTERS) und Brenna Red (THE LAST GANG) vertreten. Zuvor präsentierte die Band bereits den Track "They Burned Our Paintings".
